The Association
GUIDE Association - Global Universities in Distance Education - is a non-profit, non-political and non-secretarial organization, which is not aligned to any party ideology.
The Association finds its origin from the common need of Distance Universities (Open Universities) to promote and enhance education, by supporting research and increasing cooperation, respecting cultural diversities of each member.
GUIDE Association originated from the need to strengthen the international cooperation between universities and institutions worldwide, which have the common goal of involving in the knowledge acquisition processes both young students and citizens already working at various levels, by creating a new university model, able to mix scientific mastery with flexible knowledge methods.
GUIDE also intends to work towards the internationalization of knowledge through technologies and subsequent methods, which favour the exchange of ideas in a dynamic context, also able to create learning methods open to all situations and needs.
