Know It All
at Learning Solutions Magazine

The US magazine Learning Solutions Magazine has talked to Know It All project director Krista Di Eleuterio about the new international MOOC platform promoted by the GUIDE Association.

"It is a forum where universities can promote their MOOCs to the widest possible audience free of charge. [...] For the university there will of course be the direct benefit of their MOOCs being visible to a wider pool of potential students. But for them, the opportunity is also for the university to increase its visibility because MOOCs are emerging from universities that are hardly known outside their own national boundaries", explained Krista to reporter Nic Laycock.

Digital Universities
The GUIDE Association has created the journal "Digital Universtities. International Best Practices and Applications", which will focus on case studies and applied researches. Many experts note that there is a lot of practice but not enough research on recent trends of education such as MOOCs and OERs. The new publication aims at bridging this gap and providing a new space for the exchange of knowledge among international experts and practitioners.

The next issue of the research journal of the GUIDE Association, to be published by the end of 2013, will focus entirely on the VI International Conference. Featuring a number of highly valuable and original research articles presented in Athens, it will cover the different themes covered by the conference.

Final report of survey
among GUIDE members

In August 2013, a survey was conducted among GUIDE member institutions to develop baseline data about the status of online education. The final report provides the results of the survey, whose intent was both to develop a baseline of relevant information on GUIDE members and to assess similarities and differences that might exist between US and non US online institutions.
